Process

Initially I was doing the interview and photoshoot at the same time.  This turned out to be too time consuming.  So the process now is that once the person has shown their interest to take part I will email the questionnaire.  Once completed and emailed back I will arrange to meet at the home or near to the home of the person and their dog/s within the Furness area.

The photoshoot lasts no longer than an hour and is very informal.  Just the camera and natural light.  If the dog sits on command then the photos will be more posed if not then photos will be of the dog doing his own thing.  Either is fine as the required outcome for me is to have a clear but good photo of the dog and owner.

Once the photos are taken I will weed out the blurry and bad ones at home.  The only other editing will be cropping and maybe turning some into black and white.  These photos are not for exhibition purposes at the moment.  Then I will put the photos on a cd for the person to keep once I have received the questionnaire back and the their blog is published.  Usually at least 50 high resolution photographs will be on the cd.  This is at no cost to the people involved in the project.

I will choose about three photos, one of the owner with the dog and a couple of the dog to insert into the blog with their interview.  I will then forward the link to people via email and facebook.

All photos continue to be copyrighted to Rachel Capovila after the event.
